K Laser

K Laser

We have a new development at Back2Health! So you know how we integrate different types of treatments to help our patients, right? Well we just added another treatment to our arsenal! We’d like to welcome the K- Laser to our clinic! We are so excited to launch this therapeutic technique at Back2Health as another technique to help our patients heal!

Laser therapy was developed in Europe and it’s been used over there since the 1970’s. In 2002, the United States Federal Drug Administration approved the use of the K-Laser therapeutic treatment that manages pain and inflammation while accelerating tissue regeneration. Okay, let me break that down for you… Laser energy increases circulation of blood, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area (the area of the body that hurts). The increased blood flow to the damaged area creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasm, stiffness and pain. So, basically, Laser therapy speeds up the healing process and helps patients recover quicker from many different injuries. At Back2Health we know you want to get back to living your life; so we added K-Laser to our practice, because we want to provide a treatment option for patients to heal, recover fully, and reduce pain effectively.

Do I have your attention? Yes? I thought so. I know what you’re thinking, “Laser therapy. Sounds fancy. What type of conditions could this possibly help?”  K- Laser can treat a wide variety of conditions and injuries all over the body (it can even treat my four- legged family and friends!). From head to toe, K-Laser can be used to help reduce or even eliminate your pain! Some of the most common problems treated include:

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Trigger Points
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Ligament Sprains
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Shoulder, knee, and back pain
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Auto and Work injuries

This treatment can be used for both acute (short term) and chronic (long term) conditions. Acute conditions can be treated daily, while more chronic conditions should be treated anywhere from 2-3 times a week. The nature of the conditions will determine how many treatments will be necessary for the patient. Some conditions may need 4-6 treatment sessions while some more chronic issues may need 6-12 or more.  Some patients feel relief after one session, while others may take up to 4 sessions to feel significant relief. The best part about this treatment is that it can be done in conjunction with your other treatments if you are already an existing Back2Health patient!

Okay, I know you’re dying to ask “does it hurt?! It’s a laser, it can’t feel good against my skin!” There is very little feeling involved with each treatment. The laser light itself feels like a warm, soothing sensation against the skin. We even have protective eye glasses (extremely fashionable too!) for you to wear during the treatment. This treatment is totally safe and our staff has been properly trained on the different techniques.  Treatments can last for as short as 4 minutes and as long as 8 minutes so it won’t tie up your schedule for the day!

Pretty neat, huh?! A few patients have already tried the treatment and felt immediate relief! I am sure you have many questions for my friends at Back2Health, so make sure you call them and make your consultation appointment to learn more about K-Laser treatments today!

This has been BonBon reporting for Back2Health. Have a PAWesome day!
